Using the headstocks and tailstocks from their conventional lathes mounted on various kinds of raiser plinths carried on flat-topped beds machines with T-slots, the Willson Company offered a number of dedicated spinning lathes. Although machines to a standard specification were catalogued (as below), the customer was able to choose a speed range and capacity to suit their particular requirements - the writer once finding an unusual example with an long-bed machine with a capacity between centres of over 6 feet.
