Walcott Shapers
Founded in 1881 as Walcott & Son, the Company became, after a reorganisation in 1907, the Walcott & Wood Machine Tool Co and finally the Walcott Lathe Company . Also well-known in early years for their shaping and rack-cutting machines, by 1908 a new range of up-to-date lathes with a Norton quick-change screwcutting and feeds' box had been introduced - the 14", 16", 18",20", 20" and 26" lathes shown on this page, dating from the period 1916 to 1925, being the successors to those models.
