Wade CAV No. 2 Backgeared and screwcutting Lathe. The lever protruding horizontally forwards below the left-hand headstock bearing the dog clutch that engaged and disengaged the carriage drive.
Rear view of the No. 2 lathe. Only one Tommy bar was provided to lock the various clamping screws - but generously a length of plug chain was fitted to prevent its loss.
