Marked as the "Mecol No. 3" the Stedall was sold by a company better known for its connection to re-branded Lorch lathes. Very heavily built for such a small machine, the miller had a 153/8" x 41/4" table with three T-slots and travels of 71/4" longitudinally, 33/8" across and 7" vertically. Supported in parallel-bore, tapered-outside and adjustable bronze bushes the No. 3 Morse taper spindle ran at 80, 120, 175, 246, 400, 620, 885 and 1230 r.p.m. The assembly incorporated (like many Tom Senior millers) a backgear assembly for the four slowest speeds that were, of course, being gear-driven , very powerful.
