Resident in the United States, with a 3-inch centre height, admitting around 10 inches between centres and a fitted with cone pulley for flat-belt drive, this lathe is really too large to be considered as a watchmaker's type. However, it does have a number of the more "delicate" features often found in that class of lathe including: a bed with a single central T-slot, a flat top and bevelled edges; a headstock secured by a pair of cross shafts formed as cams and lifting locking plates and a tailstock locked down with a round, cross-drilled nut and Tommy bar. Unfortunately further significant clues as to its intended market niche clues are unavailable for the hand T-rest and - if ever available - the compound slide rest are both missing
