Thought to be French, this mall but heavily-built backgeared and screwcutting bench lathe is of a decent specification with a deep bed casting, the tumble reverse gearing well supported on the inside rather than outside wall of the headstock and with a separate shaft to drive the power sliding and surfacing feeds. From the appearance of the tailstock-end bed foot (and other pointers) the design could be to be from the 1920s….
