A small version of the traditional "bench precision" type, this lathe looks familiar to the writer with the shape of the bed feet - each waisted, rounded and open on the inside - being of a unique design. Note the British "Norman Patent" height-adjustable and swivelling toolpost, as used on the Drummond M-Type lathe.
Two slightly different examples of the lathe have been discovered, in England, within a month of each other - so it many well be a British-made machine.
