Almost certainly constructed as a "special-purpose" machine, this most unusual milling machine is resident in the United States. Might be the main body and its V-velt drive system have stated life as a conventional miller - the complex compound slide unit with a built-on and powered rotary table being sourced separately? Some strength is added to this argument by the light plate connecting the column to the base - it has a 'made-by-an-amateur appearance', though no doubt does the job.
