With its rather unusual overhung 3-step headstock pulley outboard of the left-hand spindle bearing, this "Geneva" type watchmaker's lathe might have been made in Poland. However, the two known lathes from that country, the ZM Skarzysko and ZDZ bear no resemblance to it at all. In addition, a number of previously unknown examples - some of unusual and interesting design - keep appearing from time to time on Polish auction sites, and this is one of them.
The lathe's distinguishing feature is, of course, the oddly-shaped headstock with its four elegantly shaped faces and overhung pulley. Any ideas, anyone?
