First manufactured in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s, today, with a number of modifications, the FG Series remains in production. These are heavy-duty, professional machines intended for production and one-off work. Less expense than other models in the TOS range, in their original form (the data below is from the late 1970s) they were able to mount jobs up to 300 kg in weight and weighing around 2.5 metric ton. Like most of their type, they were built in three models, the FGH-32 Horizontal, FGU-32 Universal (horizontal with a table swinging 45° each side of central) and FGV-32 Vertical. All shared the same basic main column, motor-drive system, 5.5 kW (7.3 h.p.) motor, 1250 x 320 mm table and 13 identical rates of table feed - these being from 14 to 900 mm per minute longitudinally and in traverse and 4 to 250 mm per minute vertically. All versions (including the vertical) had 12 spindle speeds set at 31.5 to 1400 r.p.m. as standard but also available, upon request, at 42 to 2000 r.p.m.
