Introduced in the late 1970s when NC control was already well established, the TOS Vertical FV-63V and Horizontal FC-63H millers could also be had with tape-controlled functions. The system chosen was the Tesla NS-350; of a relatively basic type, the version was intended for positioning and straight-cut control on all three axes - with both the horizontal and vertical versions of the Type FC-63 able to be so equipped.
