Made in several sizes and in both early and late models, the beautifully constructed and finished Scripta tool & cutter grinders may have been manufactured in both France and Switzerland. Commonly found in the two forms shown below, they were a virtual mechanical copy of the Deckel SO and SOE models - the simpler version being intended for sharpening pointers and possibly the "D" bit cutters on engraving machines and the more complex (with its much greater range of movements) being able to tackle most common types of end mills, slots drills, smaller side and face cutters and drills.
