Little known, this German-made watchmaker's lathe was discovered in Australia. Of the heavier-duty WW (Webster Whitcombe) type it would almost certainly have had a 50 mm centre height and be intended to take 8 mm collets. Although many established watchmaking companies made cheaper models for distribution within the "trade" (and can often be recognised as such) this example appears sufficient different in styling to be a unique make.
