Olmar 70 Lathe
Little is known of the "Olmar" lathe save that the makers of the Centec milling machine appear to have had a hand in either its development or production.
Classified as a high-precision, single-spindle automatic it was advertised for a time during the early 1950s and, incorporating automatic backlash elimination, was intended for the production of complicated profile parts as well as shafts, bolts, screw and nuts of the kind commonly used in the watchmaking, optical, electrical instrumentation and similar industries. If any reader has an Olmar the writer would be interested to hear from you.
