Based in Taito 2-chome, Taito, Tokyo, Japan the Niigata Machine Tool Company trades today and are specialist designers and manufacturers of large horizontal CNC machine tools and machining centres in 4 axis and 5 axis configurations. In earlier times they, like many similar companies in Japan, offered a wide range of convention machines including miller in bed type, universal and vertical, automatic lathes, planers, plano-millers, and, into the 1970, early versions of NC-controlled machines and machining centres. They also made diesel engines, plastic injection moulding  machines, construction machinery, rolling stock, chemical plant and equipment, mining machinery and were even engaged in ship building and repair.
