While not as comprehensive - nor so beautifully photographed as the wonderful Hendey Factory Tour by  Robert Yarnall Richie - this inside view of the German Koepfer gear-hobbing machine factory does bring to light some interesting points. Assembled in 1965, the pictures show a time well before the advent of CNC machine tools and the considerable amount of very skilled handwork that went into manufacturing the company's machines and their cutters.
Other interesting factory tours are those for the German companies VDF, Maho and Index and the English Dean, Smith & Grace and Archdale - together with some inside views of Herbert, Wadkin, Colchester and Lang
