Jkazet Clock-makers Precision Miller NFZ1
Poland

Designed along the lines of the Swiss Hauser, this fine-quality horizontal miller was intended for production use in a watch, clock or instrument-making factory. In normal use for production work, the lever-feed slides would have been set up to work against stops, these being visible on the table's horizontal feed and also (although missing the screw) on the in and out travel of the head. However, the pictures do not show any to control the limits of the table's lift and drop - though the its lever was pivoted from a casting held in a vertical T-slot that would have allowed the length of travel to be adjusted.
The very similar Hauser was often found with a vertical head and,, from the design of the countershaft on the Jkazet - carried on a round bar set into the main body casting and so able to be rotated into a vertical position - it appears that, for this machine too, such an accessory have been available.
On the left-hand face of the body are two machined rectangular surfaces with (tapped?) holes at each end; their purpose is unknown.
Attached to the machine is the maker's plate stamped with a Serial No. of 45 and a build date of 1957..
