Very similar in general layout to the well-known Meyer & Burger UW1 Combination Machine, this unusual Hungarian-manufactured example differs in almost every detail from the Swiss-manufactured type.
A gép teljesen egyedi gyártásúnak tunik. Ami biztos: négy évvel ez elott a helyi Idosek Otthonának egyik kilencven éves lakója személyes ismerosként üdvözölte a gépet. Elmondása szerint o a Kaposvári Cukorgyár fokönyvelojeként sok idot töltött egy barátjánál a gyár TMK muhelyében. Ez az '50-es, '60-as években volt, és teljes bizonyossággal ráismert a szerkezetre. Elmondása szerint egy svájci képes újságból vett minta alapján készült. Akkori idos karbantartó barátja késobb meg is vette a gépet, majd miután o is idosotthonba kényszerült, tovább adta egy profi szerszámkészítonek, aki eredményesen használta. Tole került aztán egy repülo modellezohöz tizenöt éve. Egy hozzáérto kolléga a szükséges felülvizsgálatokat és felújításokat elvégezte, és kiderült, amerikai csapágyakkal volt szerelve. A precíziós részek természetesen gyáriak, csak az alap egyedi. Most többnyire gondosan letakarva áll kihasználatlanul, és várja újabb gondos gazdáját.

In 2008 a resident of the local old people's home recognized the machine as being known to him; according to his explanation, during the 1950s and 1960s he was the bookkeeper of the Sugar Factory in Kaposvar and spent much time in the factory workshop visiting his friend who worked there - and who had built the lathe. He revealed that inspiration for the design came from an illustration in a Swiss magazine and was constructed as a one-off. When the builder retired, he purchased the lathe from the  Company and then, having moved into old people's home, sold it to a professional toolmaker who used it for many years. Around 1998 the machine passed into the ownership of an aircraft modeller whose friend, a professional engineer, made a thorough check and overhauled the lathe. It was discovered, upon dismantling, that the bearings were of American origin. It is now unused and waits for a careful owner.
