Fox Milling Machine

Long forgotten, the Fox Machinery Company of 1803 W. Ganson Street in Jackson, Mich. (formerly in Grand Rapids) were builders of conventional machine tools including plain horizontal millings (of the sort shown on this page) , multiple spindle drills, pipe cutters, wood trimmers, vises and dividing heads. Their Model 2B knee-type miller, as advertised in 1919, was of ordinary design for the period with a strong build, a typically round overarm, speed-change gearing within the column, a decent size of table at 8.5" x 37" that had a useful 28 inches of longitudinal travel, 8.5 inches in traverse and 14.5 inches vertically. Should you have a Fox miller, the writer would be interested to see photographs and have  further details.
