FIMAP (Fabbrica Italiana Macchine Aprilla) were manufacturers of high-quality, precision machine tools amongst which were centre and production lathes, jig borers and circular-table transfer machines.
The company was based in Aprilia, a province of Latina to the south of Rome and their products  imported into the UK, in small numbers by Acbars Ltd of 331-3 Walworth Road, London S.E.17.
The FIMAT jig borer was manufactured from 1957 until the late 1960s..
