A late entry into the drill sharpening market, the Mk. 2 Dormer Model 108 was build by the Dormer Company at their Shirewood Road Works in Worksop. Part of the Sheffield Twist Drill and Steel Co. Ltd., Dormer were famous for being part of the long-established Sheffield edge-tool industry and manufactured a wide range of industrial cutters--as well as the machines to sharpen them.
