4.7 metres between centres and carrying a 1.3 metre diameter faceplate, this large Crowthorn lathe was installed in a power station and used just for maintenance. Supplied with the lathe and intended for bolting to the bed on its special adapter plate was a self-powered milling head. Due to its weight, the carriage was fitted with an independent, motor driven power feed. The lathe's total running time, probably from the mid 1950s, until 2019, was just 770 hours.
