Established in 1888, Burkhardt & Weber are still in business and manufacture both state-of-the-art 4 and 5-axis machining centres and special-purpose machine tools. During the 1920s their output was of a more modest nature with their English agent, Benrath Machine Tools, offering a variety of industrial-class metal sawing, drilling and specialised frontal milling machines. The leaflet below - a surprising survivor as it was printed on something only a little heavier than tissue paper - is from the late 1920s. The image is high-resolution and will take time to load on a slow connection.
